Watching a consignment means you'll be notified, via an in-app notification, whenever a new message is posted on it. Go to the Activity panel located under Integration Files section, under the core consignment details and:
- click Watch from the top-right of the Activity panel to be notified whenever a new message is posted
- click Unwatch to stop watching a consignment
Adding other users as watchers
Add anyone who needs to stay across the consignment — every watcher is notified when a new message is posted.
Change watchers menu- In the Activity panel, click the watcher avatars in the top-right (next to Watch).
- Start typing a name in the Search watchers box.
- Tick a user to add them as a watcher; untick to remove them.
Setting up Default Watchers
Default Watchers automatically add chosen broker users to a client company's new consignments — so the right people follow a customer's consignments and get notified, without having to watch each one manually.
This needs to be set up per client company, on the Consignment Watchers tab.
Consignment Watchers tabAdding a default watcher
1. Go to Admin → Companies and open the client company.
2. Open the Consignment Watchers tab.
3. Click Add Watcher.
4. Select the Broker User to add. (The Client Company is already filled in.)
5. Click Add.
The watcher appears in the list with their Name and the date they were Added On.
Removing a default watcher
In the Consignment Watchers tab, open the row's cog menu and choose Delete.
How default watchers work
- Listed broker users are added as watchers automatically to that client company's new consignments.
- These apply to new consignments only — existing consignments aren't changed, and later edits to the list don't apply to consignments already created.
- The person who creates a consignment, and anyone who posts a message, is also added as a watcher automatically.
What watchers receive
Whenever a new message is posted, every watcher (except the person who posted it) is notified in the app.
Visibility is respected: a Visible to client message notifies all watchers, while an Internal only message notifies only watchers from the author's company.
Users are grouped into Broker users and Client users.
- Brokers can add or remove watchers from their own company and the client company.
- Clients can add or remove watchers from their own company only.
- A consignment can have up to 10 watchers.
