In order to enable a user to fully test the consignment creation workflow from end to end, Machship has created the ability to set a User or a Carrier Account into Test Mode.
What is Test Mode
Test Mode is the MachShip sandboxed setup which will provide the ability to utilise MachShip without pushing any consignment to pickup data over to the transport providers.
This can help users to be able to:
- Train new users or clients in a safe environment
- Configure and end-to-end test integration configurations via the API
- Test and view the data transfer files and methods with different carriers.
Please note that all Test Users are simply sandboxed from sending information through to the transport providers - they will have full access to adjust any and all data that has been configured against their company (if their user role has access).
If a user is in Test Mode this will be signified with the banner below located at the bottom-left side of the screen:
If you are generating consignment or quote against a test Carrier Account it will be shown like the below:
If you are manifesting a Test Consignment then this will be signified by the below:
If you are viewing a Test Consignment then you will see the below indicator above the status bar on the View Consignment Page:

Test Mode will enable a user to configure any of the below in Test format:
- Pending Consignments
- Quotes
- Consignments
- Manifests
