How To Set A User In Test Mode

Setting a user in Test Mode enables a user to access the MachShip's sand-boxed testing environment. This will access live quoting but will not push out any data to transport providers. This is useful when testing out integrations or training team members.

How to Set a User in Test Mode

To set a user in Test Mode, navigate to Admin and select View Users

If you are unable to see the User, MachShip has provided two ways to search for them:

  1. Company filter - Once you start typing a company's name, MachShip will present a list of options. Select the relevant option from this list.
  2. General Search - When entering any keywords in this section, MachShip will filter through the list of users and bring up ones that have those keywords.

Click on the Cog drop-down to view options. Scroll down and select Edit User.

Scroll down to Test mode and select User is in test mode

Select Save User

The user will now be in Test Mode. To reverse the process, follow the above steps and select either Disabled from seeing test consignments, this will allow a user to see and create only live consignments.

OR

Enabled to see test consignment, this will provide a user visibility on a test consignment created, and the ability to create test consignments if a carrier account has been set in Test Mode.

To validate that a  user is in test mode you will see the below banner when you log in to MachShip:
