How to impersonate a Company
Impersonation allows a user to be able to act on behalf of one of your clients or child companies. You can then see the system as would be seen by the child company with all of the access of your username and company type.
You will need to be impersonating a child company to be able to book a consignment on behalf of that child company.
How to start Impersonating a Company
Click the Eye Icon which is located in the top right corner of the screen. Once clicked it will expand and show a list of Companies that you are able to Impersonate. The company can also be found via the search function.
Once you have selected a company, a green You are now impersonating 'Company Name' prompt will show in the top right corner of the screen.
MachShip has set two indications to show that you are Impersonating a Company:
1. Eye Icon - This will turn Yellow with a line through it.
2. Impersonating Bar - This bar will ALWAYS show in the bottom left corner of the screen.
How to stop Impersonating a Company
There are 2 ways to Stop impersonating a company.
1. Click the Stop Impersonating Button.
Click on the Yellow Eye Icon. You will find Stop Impersonating in the top right corner of the drop-down. Click on it to Stop Impersonating.
If it has successfully stopped impersonating the company, a green You are no longer impersonating prompt will show in the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the Impersonating Bar.
If you click the impersonation bar then you will cease impersonating that company.
If it has successfully stopped impersonating the company, a green You are no longer impersonating prompt will show in the top right corner of the screen.
