A Return Label is a pre-paid, pre-addressed postage label that enables customers to return purchased goods back to the seller. MachShip has provided a few easy and efficient ways to get these done.
1. When Creating a Consignment
Navigate to Create / Manage drop-down, once the menu has opened, scroll down to the Consignment section and select Create Consignment.
Create the consignment as per usual, fill in all of your details and click on Generate Route. Select a Route you would like to go ahead with. Before you go ahead and create the consignment, MachShip has provided a few options. If you click on the drop-up button on Create & Print A4 Labels, Create & Print Labels or Create Consignment, the menu will open up to show and Create Return.
When the consignment has been created successfully you'll get a green Consignment Saved Successfully in the top right corner of the screen.
Once you have clicked on one of the above options, it will take you back to the Create Consignment screen. Notice at the very top left corner of the screen, the heading would have changed to Clone.
The Pickup Location and the Delivery Locations will have swapped around. From here you are able to edit a few details, however, if you do, you'll need to Generate a Route and select one. Click on any of the Create options to proceed to the next step.
It will then take you to Unmanifested Consignments. Proceed as per the norm to create a Manifest and print off your paperwork. If you are unsure on how to Create a Manifest please click on the following link. If you are unsure on how to Print off Paperwork, click on the following link.
2. When Cloning a Consignment
MachShip will take a previously created consignment and create a new consignment with all of the Pickup Location, Delivery Location and Item details. You'll have to select a New Desired Despatch Date and Route. The new consignment will reprice accordingly.
Navigate to the Create / Manage drop-down and select one of the following headings from the Consignments section: Pending Consignments, Unmanifested Consignments, Active Consignments, Completed Consignments or All Consignments.
If you are unable to see a Consignment you'd like to Clone, MachShip has provided a way to easily search for one. There will be a Search Engine at the top of the screen. Enter any details relating to a consignment you are searching for and MachShip will bring up all related consignments.
Once found, click on the Cog drop-down to expand your options:
MachShip will give you the same option as above to Create Return(s).
3. When Cloning a Quick Consignment
The Quick Consignment method was developed in order to allow for the creation of a consignment when the user has pre-defined knowledge over which is the best carrier to use. The quick consignment method requires the user to provide the From Location, To Location and the Item information but has the added step of selecting the carrier and service required.
Navigate to the Create / Manage drop down. Scroll down to the Consignment section and select Unmanifested Consignments.
