How to create a Carrier Account with TNT

How to create a Carrier Account with TNT

When looking to set up a new account with TNT Express you will need to contact their IT department and advise them that you are looking to despatch your account through MachShip. You will also need to provide them with a setup form which is linked in the article below. Please indicate you are seeking to setup the TNT integration.

The team can be contacted at citservicedesk@tnt.com.au. Please cc integrations@machship.com in your email.

Your email should be as follows:

Hi CIT Team,

I need to set up my account <insert account code> with TNT Express so that I may consign with my new FMS partner MachShip. Can you please advise what my consignment prefix should be?

Can we also have the POD's sent to the MachShip Sftp directory?

Once the TNT team responds then we need to fill out the specific options.

Third Party Account Code/Number - The account code would have been provided to you when your account was set up.

Create Consignment Username -  This will be set as CIT00000000000151562

Create Consignment Password -  This will be set as Mach1Group

Create Booking Username -  This will be set as CIT00000000000151562

Create Booking Password -  This will be set as Mach1Group

Sender Identifier Code - set as MACHS

Tracking Username -  set as MACHSuser

Tracking Password -  set as tEp57tRu

Consignment Prefix - Will be provided in the email above.

Reference Pools - Reference pools are utilised by MachShip in order to maintain a count on connote, manifest and item numbers. The reference pool will ensure that each of those numbers is unique to what we have sent to the carrier previously. More information can be obtained on reference pools here. TNT requires the creation of just 1 reference pool, for the Connote number.

To create the reference pool select the Create Carrier Reference Pool button at the bottom of the page.

If you are creating a new account then the Reference Pools will be set to the following fields:

Pool Name - Set as TNT Connote Pool <Account Code>
Minimum Value - 1
Maximum Value - 999999999 (that is nine 9's)
Next Value -  1
Cyclical - No

It will appear as below:

Once created it will appear in the drop-down as below:

Ratecard
TNT will provide users with rates within two possible zone sets. These zone sets can be identified as either one that will have from and to zones as NN1, NN2, QQ1, QQ2 VV1,VV1, etc or a ratecard that has zones that are set as MEL, SYD, ADL, etc.

If you have a ratecard that has the zones MEL, SYD and ADL on it, please ensure that when you insert rates to and from zones NT1 and NT2 that, you replace the zone code NT1 with NT1NEW and NT2 with NT2NEW. Doing this will ensure an accurate rating for NT-based deliveries.

Test:

Once the account has been set up and all of the rates have been added, you will need to run a test to ensure that upon go-live, everything will run successfully. To do this, create a consignment - please make Reference 1 and Reference 2 and the delivery special instructions THIS IS A TEST. Once this has been created please manifest the consignment to the carrier. If you experience any issues please contact support@machship.com.

If you receive a successful manifest message from MachShip then please send an email to citservicedesk@tnt.com.au and advise them that you are starting to despatch your TNT Express account through MachShip and that you would like to receive verification on the test file and permission to start to trade. Please include the label pdf's for the manifest and the connote.

Advise the support team of the connote number and request that they should cancel this to ensure that you are not charged. Please cc integrations@machship.com on this email so we can help if required.

On confirmation from the support team that the setup is validated, you are free to begin to consign.
