How to create a Carrier Account with Josie's Transport

When looking to set up a new account with Josie's Transport you will need to set the specific options.

These are:

Account Code - The account code will have been provided to you when your account was set up.

Reference Pools - Reference pools are utilised by MachShip in order to maintain a count on connote, manifest, and item numbers. The reference pool will ensure that each of those numbers is unique to what we have sent to the carrier previously. More information can be obtained on reference pools here. Josie's Transport requires the creation of just 1 reference pool, for the Manifest number.

To create the reference pool select the Create Carrier Reference Pool button at the bottom of the page.

If you are creating a new account then the Reference Pools will be set to the following fields:

Pool Name - Set as Josie's Transport Manifest Pool <Account Code
Minimum Value - 0
Maximum Value - 999999 (that is six 9's)
Next Available Reference -  1
Cyclical - No

It will appear as below:

Once created it will appear in the drop-down as below:

Once done with the setup, click on the Save Carrier Account button.

Test:

Once the account has been set up and all of the rates have been added, you will need to run a test to ensure that upon go-live, everything will run successfully. To do this, create a job and type in the Reference 1Reference 2 and the Delivery Special Instructions as THIS IS A TEST. Once this has been created it will be booked with the carrier.

If you receive a successful manifest message from MachShip then please send an email to Josie's Transport Team and advise them that you are starting to despatch your Josie's Transport account through MachShip and that you would like to receive verification on the test file and permission to start to trade.

Please include the job number and request that they should cancel this to ensure that you are not charged. Please CC: integrations@machship.com on this email so we can help if required.

How to Assign Carrier Accounts to Child Companies:

If you are a broker with multiple child companies, you can link carrier accounts set up on your parent account to your child companies. This allows each child company to use the carrier services and rates configured on the parent account.

Steps to Assign a Carrier Account to Child Companies:

1. Navigate to the Company Carrier Accounts section in your MachShip settings.
2. Select the carrier account you wish to assign to child companies.
3. Locate the Child Companies section and click Add Child Company.
4. Select the child company from the dropdown list.
5. Configure any child-company-specific settings if required, such as rate overrides or service restrictions.
6. Click Save to apply the assignment.

Testing the Setup:

Once you have assigned the carrier account to your child companies, log in to the child company account and verify that the carrier is available in the carrier selection dropdown when creating a job. Create a test job to confirm that rates are calculating correctly and that all assigned services are accessible.

On confirmation from the support team that the setup is validated, you are free to begin to consign.
