MachShip provides users with the ability to change the owning company of a consignment via the balance page. 

If you have accidentally booked a job under an incorrect company and you want to change or move it to the correct company without doing it from scratch, you can follow below instructions: 

NOTE: You can only change the owning company if the consignment is already manifested. 

How to navigate to change the Owning Company

• From the Create/Manage menu, select Active Consignment or All Consignment:

• Search for the consignment that you want to change the owning company. You can use the search bar and enter the reference number. 
  

• Once you found the consignment, you will click on the cog and select "View Balance"
  

Alternatively, if you are already on the consignment page, you will also find another cog located below the items information, you can also select the "View Balance" option under that cog.

Once you have selected the view balance, it will lead you the reconciliation screen where you can change the owning company of the consignment. The company is located under the consignment administration section where you can also find the references, carrier ID, etc.

When changing the company, you will need to select the company from the suggested companies that MachShip is showing from the drop-down. 

If you will just manually type in the company and won't select from the drop-down, it will show an error that the company is Invalid and you will not be able to update the consignment.

 

Once you have selected the company, you will then click the "Update Consignment Details".
