How to assign a Workflow to a Company

How to assign a Workflow to a Company

In order to enable a company to be able to use a workflow, it needs to be assigned to a company. This is completed through the Edit Company Page

How to navigate to the Edit Company Page

Select Admin and View Companies.

Search for the company you wish to assign the Company Contact to, select the cog on the right and the Edit Company option.

How to assign a Company Workflow

1. Scroll to the Company Information Table.

About three-quarter of the way down the page you will see the Company Information Table. This table contains information relating to Contacts, Company Carrier Accounts, Invoice Wrapping, Custom Fields, Printer Configurations and Company Workflows. This grid will also provide access to the Cost (buy) rates as well as any customised Sell rates.

2.  Select the Tab called Company Workflows.

By selecting this you will be provided with a grid of all the previously assigned workflows (this will include both the invoice and the consignment import workflows).

3.  Select Create Company Workflow.

Select the Create Company Workflow button. This will prompt the Create Company Workflow Modal.

4. Assign the Company Workflow.

To assign the workflow the user needs to fill out the following fields on the Create Company Workflow modal:

Company -  This will be the company you wish to assign the workflow to. This can be any company which is accessible in your company tree.

Workflow - Select from the workflows which have been created.

Inheritable Flag -  If you wish the workflow to be accessible to all companies which are set as children of the company you are assigning the workflow to, set this flag to be Yes. As an example, if you create a customised import which needs to apply to an organisation, you would assign the workflow to the parent company and set it as inheritable.

Exclude Flag -  If you wish to exclude a company or companies from a workflow set the exclude flag to be Yes

4. Select Create Company Workflow.

5. Verify the workflow has been added.

Once the workflow has been created it should appear as a new entry in the company workflow grid.

The workflow should also be accessible through the Import Consignments drop down or alternatively through the Import Carrier Invoice drop-down.
