Lane Rates are a set of pricing lines which have the same from zone, to zone, service, account and carrier combination. These can be added into MachShip via an import and the collection of articles outlining how this can be completed can be found here
If you are looking to just add a small number of lane rates it can be quicker and easier to do this through the MachShip UI.
How to Navigate through to a Ratecard Version
1. Select Admin and Ratecards.
2. Use the filters and the search bar to find the ratecard you wish to alter.

3. Once you have found the ratecard select the cog on the left and the option View Ratecard.
4. Once on the View Ratecard page scroll down to the bottom and select the Ratecard Version which you would want to add the rates against.

Using the drop-down cog select View Ratecard Version.
How to Add Lane Rates
1. Click Create Lane Rate.
Every Lane Rate will require:
If the price is a flat rate across all suburbs then please leave the From Zone and To Zone blank.
2. Once you have set all of the above fields select Save Lane Rate.
Once selected, the screen will refresh and you will then be able to set the pricing Breaks.

In order to provide discounts for sending larger amounts of freight transport companies will tend to collect sets of the above five measurements in breaks with set pricing. The breaks function will be how MachShip will be told to price the consignments in that fashion.
3. To add a break, find the applicable break and select the tab.
4. Select the Create <break Type> Break Set
5. This will prompt the Create Break Set modal.
6. To create the break set, edit the following.
If the price should be applied to a set item type (for example a pallet) then select from the Item Type dropdown. If the price should apply to all item types then select Default.
Then set each of the breaks by applying a Break From, Break To and a Price then select the plus icon to add the price.
Note: Each Break From must be only 1 unit higher than the next Break To.
To create the break, select Save Break Set.
7. To finalize and create the rate select Save Lane Rate.
A green Lane Rate was updated successfully prompt will show in the top right corner of the screen if successful.
