How to Add a Credit or a Manual Charge to a Client's Invoice

The MachShip system provides an option to add credit or manual charges on an invoice in the instance you need to add an additional charge or raise a credit to a client.

How to Add Credit to a Consignment

Adding credit is done on the consignment balance screen. How to access the reconciliation balance screen is discussed in this article

Once you are on the balance screen under Accepted Consignment Charges, select the Add Credit option:


The system will require you to provide a reason and the credit amount which will show as negative:


Once you have added the credit charge. You will need to balance the consignment:


The consignment should then reflect on the Generate Invoices pages and when you run the next invoice, it will reflect as a negative amount.

How to Add a Manual Charge to a Consignment

Adding a manual charge to a consignment can also be done on the reconciliation page.

The process is the same as adding a credit, but instead, you will select the Add Manual Charge option in the Accepted Consignment Charges section:


You need to provide the reason and the amount:


Once you have added the manual charge. You will need to balance the consignment:


The manual charge will reflect on the client's invoice when you generate the invoice on the next run.
