Browser Support and Discontinuing Support for Internet Explorer and other Older Browsers

As we continue to enhance MachShip and provide improved features and security, we want to make sure that you are experiencing MachShip in its complete capacity. As browsers continue to improve, we are able provide enhanced features by using the new features that the latest browsers have to offer.

In order to provide this, we are deprecating support for older browsers including support for Internet Explorer 11 and old Safari versions as of March 31, 2021.

What do I need to do?

If you are currently using the latest version of your browser, you will continue to get the best experience from MachShip without any changes. All modern browsers self update and there is no on-going maintenance required.

If you are currently using Internet Explorer or any browser not listed below, you will need to update to one of these browsers.

Why are you discontinuing support?

By focusing on the latest versions of browsers, we are able to bring to you the latest and most secure features through the MachShip platform. Internet Explorer was released in 2013 and has reached end of life with Microsoft and it is recommended to move to one of the latest browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. The web development space has advanced significantly since 2013 and by using the latest technology we are able to offer you the best experience using MachShip.

What will happen if I don't change browsers?

MachShip will continue to operate as expected up to March 31, 2021. After this date, parts of MachShip may no longer operate as expected.

What browsers will continue to be supported?

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari (13+)

MachShip's development and release policy will support the latest 2 versions of each of the browsers listed above.
